Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today is St Patrick’s Day. It would have been my father-in-law’s 75th birthday. My father-in-law was 100% Irish and born on St. Patrick’s Day! He was proud to be Irish and loved a good story, like many of his countrymen.

The family will be getting together to celebrate the day.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, here are some studies in green.

Enjoy!

The simple beauty of this fern frond is captivating

Pretty antique jade beads

Hello Sweet Friend,
I wanted to post my sympathies on the loss of your father in law. I lost my dear mother to Parkinson's disease 1 1/2 years ago. It was a long, very difficult battle. But to hear than your dear FIL and I share the same birthday makes me feel so honored to share the day with someone that was obviously such a special person. I wish you and your husband only the happiest memories of him today. Your sorrow and loss will someday fade and the wonderful blessed things about him will be what you will remember. Sending a comforting hug to both of you today.

Nancy, thinking of you and Bill today. Your post is lovely, a special tribute to your dear father-in-law. I especially love the picture of the cameo in the little nest. Your music is so beautiful, too. What is the first song from? I recognize it, but can't place it.
